What's your middle name? Is there a story or history behind it?
No one has middle name among the most Japanese, as I know...
ミドルネームと言えば、Lee "Scratch" Perry の"Scratch"が思い浮かぶ。
なぜ"Scratch"なのか、その語源を調べてみたけど見つからない。
悔しいので、ついでに"Reggae"の語源について紹介すると、
Toots and the Maytals の"Do the reggey"という曲から来ているという説が有力である。
"Toots and the Maytals"といえば、Reggaeのオリジネイター。
自らの囚人番号"54-46"を曲名に付けたことでも有名だ。
やれWeb2.0だなんだと流れが早い21世紀の日本にいると、
こういう昔からドン！と構えてジャンルを作り上げてきた
方々にはついつい憧れてしまう。
というわけで、
"Toots and the Maytals" was my Answer ! of the day.
